Japanese Schoolgirl Inferno: Tokyo Teen Fashion Subculture (good book!)
From left to right: - sukeban: bad girl of the 60s/70s - takenokozoku: street stomping, sign-stealing child of the 80s - kogal: california beach bunny and SMS pioneer - kigurumin: pyjama party hobo - yamanba: mountain hag and alba rosa fiend - traditional dress with a twist (and a takuya angel scarf) - glamour girl - gothloli: gothic doll-child
which one would you be?
-- EDIT: So far I've received some comments debating whether my definitions are just-so, and while yay! talking about Japanese fashion is fun, I don't care if the Sukeban's razor is the wrong size or if the Kigurumin is eating the wrong brand of instant ramen. I had fun drawing random girls, do not suck the joy! I promise next time I draw any more Gyaru girls, I will be more accurate!! Really!!
I. Am. So. Gothic. Doll. Child. No not really. I dont wear black and red together very much... Eh, i dont wanna be characterized by thiss... BUT HEY, i love your style, and how you paint, and stuffs! Love the delicate detail, and the... Dollish ness of it all. And the unlined style. Faved for sure for ever.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
